Are gliders noisy, do they smell? Gliders are capable of making noise but do not tend to get very loud. They are capable of barking, crabbing and making a few other noises. None of these usually carry enough volumn to not be drowned out by a tv. Wether or not your glider smells depends on you. Keep the cage clean and gliders will omit hardly any oder at all. Just a slight fruity smell from the males when breeding. Let the cage get nasty and like any other nasty cage it will smell.

My glider is turning brown, what is wrong with it, is this normal? Sadly it is more normal than it should be. Your glider is basically showing you that it's nutrition is lacking. Give the glider a balanced varied diet as suggested and the problem should correct itself over time.

Will my glider be ok around my other pets? Maybe, but is it worth risking? This is a question you should ask yourself before allowing your glider to come in contact with any other pet. You must also understand that in an instant, despite what you think, quicker than you can react, your pet can be snatched up and in the jaws of some other family favorite. I do not take this lightly and I do not advocate allowing contact by other animals with your glider. It serves no purpose, is definitely not worth the risk, and can be fatal to your glider. With that said they will in fact stand up to a larger animal and their threat display can be quite effective, also though they are not prone to bite humans they will without question tag the family dog when he gets too close, just remember the dog can bite back.

Should I allow my glider to roam freely in my home? No. Absolutely not. There is no way you can completely glider-proof your entire home. Let your glider roam free long enough and eventually you will regret it. There are simply too many dangers in the home for your glider to be expected to safely wander.

What's wrong with my glider, it has trouble waking up and it's laying in a strange position? As long as it wakes up and appears to be breathing normal there is probably nothing wrong with it. Gliders go into what may be the deepest sleep I have ever seen. They seem to go almost comatose and it can take a lot to wake them up. It can be quite amusing to see your glider passed out on it's back in the palm of your hand or to see one fall asleep and roll upside down on it's perch still hanging on but never waking up.
