Grammostola alticeps     Smokey Grey

From what I've been told this is a pretty uncommon speices that reaches about 5 inches or so.  G alticeps has kind of a washed out G pulchra look to it.  It is black with a grey haze over it.  This is an attractive spider and the temperament is not bad contrary to what I have been able to find out about them in the past.

Eupalaestrus campestratus     Pink Zebra Beauty

This medium sized terrestrial has nice leg striping and a very attractive overall pinkish sheen to it.  This species is not only attractive but easy to keep as well.  Perhaps the best feature of E campestratus however is it's extremely docile temperament.  These are recommended as a great beginner species by most.

A metallica spiderling Avicularia metallica     Whitetoe

A metallica is quite similar in appearance to a good looking blue colored Avic avic.  The distinction between the two seems to be in that on metallica there are no red abdominal hairs at all.  A metallica also has white tipped hairs all over and better looking metallic blue coloration overall.  I have heard that they can get slightly larger than Avic avic as well.
Nhandu carapoensis     Brazilian Red

This species is large and very fuzzy with a beautiful deep rich red color throughout.  These spiders look great, have a  big appetitie and do well in captivity as long as water is available.  This species has a nasty temper and will bite if provoked but is certainly not difficult to control.  They would rather rear and pose than run.  This spider also bears the distinctionof having my wife's favorite latin name to pronounce.

P scrofa
Paraphysa scrofa     Chilean Copper

This species used to go by P manicata and all that I read on it under that name painted it to be fast and prone to bite.  Not true at all, these small spiders are very nonaggressive tolerating handling well in my experience.  I have not seen any of  my P scrofa show the first sign of anything other than running or cringing.  This species is quite attractive as well showing brilliant metallic copper and red highlights.  P scrofa may be small but it makes as cool a choice as many of the bigger guys.
