Chromatopelma cyaneopubesnens Greenbottle Blue Oh man, oh man, I did mention being a color freak right? These spiders rock. Awesome colors as babies - green, white, black and orange, they turn into metallic blue and orange adults. Yeah baby!! These guys are one of the most colorful tarantulas, or animals for that matter, out there. Easy as anything to keep too. They are very dry tolerant and they grow quick. Voracious eaters and a bit quick but by no means an aggressive spider. If you want some of the best looks along with one of the hardest to screw up and kill spiders available you will not go wrong with a Greenbottle.

Lasiodora cristatas Brazilian Red & White L cristatas is a great looking spider. They have a white cephalothorax, a red abdomen and black legs with bright white bands and pinstripes. Cristatas also get pretty big, breaking the 7 inch mark. They have a somewhat short temper and will rear up and lunge without too much provocation. Overall, these are a truly magnificent species with bright vivid colors, nice size and a somewhat fiesty yet controlable attitude. An interesting side note is that getting a sexable molt from a cristatas is a tough feat. For some unknown reason they always seem to chew up and destroy their molt almost as soon as exiting it, making it usless for sexing purposes.

Cyriopagopus thorelli Malaysian Earth Tiger These are truly magnificent tarantulas with a yellowish cephalothorax, a tiger striped abdomen and black legs with bright orange hairs highlighting them. One of the best looking and worst tempered species hands down. These guys get big, have plenty of attitude and move really quick. Trying to pose one for a picture can be a handfull. Fairly secretive and still pretty expensive these are among the most desirable tarantulas and make a fantastic addition to any invert collection.
