Cyclosternum sp. Cobalt Red Rump This species is a pet peve of mine. From the beginning of their availability I felt like Cobalt Red Rumps got the short end fo the stick. Call me crazy but I would never offer a brand new species for $30 and I can't remember ever seeing them any higher. This almost seemed to make the species a junk spider with no respect from the start. Now no one is producing them and males are few and far between. This is a true shame for a species that has a very nice blue and red coloration and a fantastic temperment. They don't get very big but neither does a Tiger Rump and no one ever knocks them. Cobalt Red Rumps also have a strange way of coping with being disturbed. When agitated the Cobalt Red Rump ducks down it's cephalothorax to the ground and raises it's abdomen in a very akward looking way while slinking away from the disturbance. The spider seems far more afraid of being hurt than to stand it's ground. This species doesn't even go after prey like most being very timid and shy. They will however eat and they are easy to keep. I love my Cobalt Red Rump and just wish I could find her a male or two.

Ceratogyrus brachycephalus Gerater Horned Baboon These have great coloring as far as Ceratogyrus species go. They have a nice yellowish overall color and the contrasting typical Ceratogyrus black flecks and lines show up very nicely on this species. This species shows the typical horned behavior as well, running away at light speed only to stop turn and fight back. That's a pretty cool attitude from a 1 1/2 inch s'ling.

Psalmopoeus irminia Venezuelan Suntiger P irminia is a lightning quick arboreal with a flighty and more often than not aggressive attitude. This species is smaller than it's close relative P cambridgei but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for with killer good looks. When freshly molted adult suntigers are jet black with bright orange lightning bolts on the tips of the feet and orange tiger markings on the abdomen. These are without any doubt on of the finest looking and most sought after tarantulas around. Adult females are quite pretty and worth every penny.

Aviuclaria urticans Peruvian Pinktoe This is a dark almost black looking Avic species. Avic urticans are attractive and reach a fairly good size for an Avic. I have heard stories of aggressive A urticans but all mine have shown typical docile Avic behavior.
