Sonoran Gopher
Pituophis cantenifer affinis
Albino Sonoran Gopher Snake

Of all the gophers, bulls and pines out there Albino Sonoran Gophers are the most attractively marked and colored of them all.  The lemon yellow base color with dark orange/red saddles plus the pattern that changes form head to tail combine to make a spectacular looking snake.
Sonorans are also one fo the larger Pituophis reaching 6 feet plus.  I have heard of 7 footers but have yet to see one.  My female is pushing 6 feet and very thick with the male just a bit smaller.  Sonorans like all Gophers are eating machines and feeding them or putting weight on them is usually not a problem.  The one thing I would caution against is pushing them with 5 mice at once.   I have known people to do this and the snakes will eat them but if often causes them to regurge.  Keep it reasonable but by all means feed them well.  In my experience all Pituophis tend to have varying temperment for each individual.  Some hiss loudly and strike putting on quite a display.  While others like my male don't care what you do to them.  Most fall somewhere in between the two extremes.  Even ill tempered specimens are not too bad to handle and mot calm down with patience and time.  These are truly fantastic snakes and in my opinion the best looking albino colubrid there is.  They reach a nice impressive size and the temper is usually squirmy and hissy at worst.  Gophers are active making a great display and their ease of keeping makes them a great overall pet.
Note on available Gophers:
My pair of albino Sonorans is expected to drop eggs any day now.  In the next couple of months I may have a few babies available.  Feel free to e-mail me for availability and price.

Children's python
Antaresia childreni    Children's Python

These are small corn snake sized pythons.  They are known for their docile nature and ease of keeping.  In my experience newborns can be problematic feeders.  This is probably due to their very small hatchling size.

Lampropeltis getula niger     Black Kingsnake

This seems to be the most common of the local kingsnakes that I come across.  Unfortunately most of the ones I encounter are already roadkill.  People around my location seem more than eager to kill these, or any other snake, on sight.  This particular specimen, caught in my backyard, is a 3 1/2 foot male.  It's temperment when caught was extremely docile, no hissing, biting or musking.
