| Lichanura trivirgata Rosy Boa Rosies are an easy to keep fairly small species. They get about the size of a Corn Snake. They tend to be docile and do not mind being handled. I have found that it is sometimes hard to get them to begin to eat when they are young. Once you have successfully fed them once however it is not difficult to get them to continue to eat. They do not seem to be big eaters often going two weeks between accepting food, however the pair that I have gotten to begin to eat have fattened up nicely. There are several different sub species available depending on the location the specimens originate from. They generally have three stripes going down their bodies that vary in color depending on the sub species. |
